Our Policies

This page documents MPB’s operational policies — covering accuracy, originality, confidentiality, response commitments, refunds, content correction, and grievance resolution. These are the standards we hold ourselves to and that you can hold us to.


Accuracy and Quality

Every tutor on MPB has passed a written subject test and a practical tutoring assessment before being approved. Student ratings are collected after every session and monitored continuously. Tutors whose performance falls below our standards are reviewed and, where necessary, removed from the platform.

Our Q&A library and subject page content are reviewed for accuracy before publication. Where expert-reviewed content contains an error, we correct it transparently and promptly. See the Content Correction Policy below for how to report an error.

No AI-generated solutions are provided in tutoring sessions. All session content is produced by the tutor in real time. All Q&A answers are written by verified human physics tutors.


Originality

Solutions and explanations provided in MPB tutoring sessions are produced by the tutor in the context of that session. They are not copied from textbooks, past papers, or AI-generated sources. Written notes sent after sessions reflect what was actually discussed in that session.

Content published on the MPB website — subject pages, Q&A answers, blog posts — is original content produced by our team. We attribute sources where referenced. Where we are aware of an error or an uncredited source, we correct it on request.


Confidentiality

MPB does not share student information — name, contact details, subject, level, institution, or session content — with any third party beyond what is required to deliver the tutoring service (i.e. providing session details to the matched tutor). We do not sell student data. We do not use student information for marketing to third parties.

Response and Delivery Commitments

  • WhatsApp response: Within minutes during normal hours; within 24 hours at any time
  • Email response: Within 24 hours for general enquiries
  • Tutor matching: Within 1 hour in most cases; up to 24–48 hours for highly specialised advanced subjects
  • Session delivery: At the confirmed time. Tutor no-show results in full refund or free replacement session at the student’s choice
  • Post-session notes: Sent by the tutor via WhatsApp within 24 hours of session completion

Refund Policy Summary

  • Cancelled 48+ hours before session: Full refund
  • Cancelled 24–48 hours before: 90% refund
  • Cancelled less than 24 hours before: 80% refund
  • Student no-show: 50% refund
  • Tutor no-show: Full refund or free replacement — student’s choice
  • Dissatisfied with session: Contact within 24 hours; replacement or refund considered on case merits

Content Correction Policy

We produce a large volume of physics content — 71 subject pages, a growing Q&A library, and a blog. Despite our review process, errors occur. We take corrections seriously because accuracy in physics content matters for students relying on it.

To report an error, email care@myphysicsbuddy.com with the subject line “Content Correction — [Page Title]”. Include the page URL, the specific section or statement that is incorrect, and your suggested correction. If you are a subject expert submitting a technical correction, please include your credentials so we can evaluate the correction in context.

We acknowledge correction requests within 24–48 hours. Corrections confirmed as accurate are applied to the page promptly. For significant factual corrections, we note the correction date at the bottom of the affected page.


Grievance Process

If you are dissatisfied with MPB’s service and the standard response process has not resolved your concern, you can escalate as follows:

Step 1: Contact care@myphysicsbuddy.com with subject “GRIEVANCE”. Describe the issue and what resolution you are seeking. We acknowledge within 24 hours.

Step 2: If the first-level response does not resolve your concern within 5 business days, escalate to pankaj@myengineeringbuddy.com. Pankaj Kumar, the Founder and CEO of MPB, is the final authority on all grievances. Response within 48–72 hours.

MPB does not have an external grievance authority. Disputes are governed by Indian law.


Data and Privacy Requests

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, email care@myphysicsbuddy.com with the subject “[DATA REQUEST] [Your Name] — [Type of Request]”. We respond within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for your full rights and the categories of data we hold.
