Editorial Standards — My Physics Buddy

Last updated: March 2026

This page explains how MPB produces, reviews, and maintains the educational content on myphysicsbuddy.com — including subject pages, Q&A answers, and blog posts. It also explains our correction policy and how to report an error.

What Content MPB Publishes

MPB publishes four types of educational content:

  • Subject pages — one page per physics subject (71 in total), covering what the subject involves, what students typically find difficult, how MPB tutors approach it, and what exam preparation looks like for curriculum-based subjects
  • Q&A library — student-submitted questions answered by verified MPB physics tutors at /qa/. These are detailed, worked explanations written by human tutors.
  • Blog posts — longer-form articles on physics topics, exam preparation strategies, study resources, and education-related topics
  • Tutor profiles — profiles of verified physics tutors on the MPB platform, including their qualifications, subjects, ratings, and self-written bios

Our Content Standards

Accuracy

Physics content on MPB must be factually correct. We do not publish content that contains known errors in physics principles, incorrect formulae, or misleading explanations. Subject pages and Q&A answers are reviewed for accuracy before publication. Where complex or advanced topics are involved, review is carried out by a tutor with relevant expertise in that area.

Originality

All Q&A answers are written from scratch by verified human physics tutors in response to specific student questions. They are not copied from textbooks, Wikipedia, or AI-generated sources. Blog posts and subject pages are original content produced by MPB’s content team with AI assistance for drafting, followed by human review and editing. No content is published that is a direct copy of a third-party source without attribution.

AI Use in Content Production

MPB uses AI tools (large language models) in its internal content pipeline to assist with drafting subject pages and blog posts. This AI assistance is used to produce first drafts which are then reviewed, edited, and approved by human team members before publication. Q&A answers are written entirely by human tutors without AI assistance. AI is never used in any student-facing interaction — tutoring sessions, WhatsApp responses, and tutor matching are all 100% human.

Attribution

Where we reference or quote third-party sources — research papers, official exam board documents, textbooks, or other educational resources — we provide attribution. Where we link to external resources, we link to the original authoritative source where possible.

Currency

Physics content, particularly for curriculum-based subjects, can become outdated when exam boards update their specifications. We aim to review and update subject pages for AP Physics, A Level Physics, IB Physics, and similar courses when specification changes are announced. If you notice outdated content, please report it through the process below.

Q&A Answer Standards

Answers in the MPB Q&A library meet the following standards:

  • Written by a verified MPB tutor with relevant subject expertise
  • Technically accurate to the level of physics involved
  • Clear and structured — using step-by-step explanations, worked examples, and plain-English descriptions of underlying principles
  • Honest about assumptions, approximations, and the limits of the explanation
  • Free from speculation presented as fact

Each Q&A answer identifies the tutor who wrote it, including their qualifications and experience, so readers can assess the expertise behind the answer.

Content Correction Policy

We take corrections seriously. Physics is a discipline where errors in explanations can actively mislead students preparing for exams or developing their understanding. A wrong sign in an electromagnetic formula or an incorrect statement about quantum numbers matters.

If you find an error in any MPB content — factual, mathematical, or logical — please report it:

  1. Email care@myphysicsbuddy.com with the subject line “Content Correction — [Page Title or URL]”
  2. Include the exact URL of the page
  3. Quote the specific sentence, equation, or section that you believe is incorrect
  4. Explain what you believe is wrong and, if possible, provide the correct version with a source or reasoning
  5. If you are a subject expert submitting a technical correction, include your relevant qualifications so we can evaluate the correction in context

We acknowledge correction requests within 24–48 hours. Where a correction is confirmed as accurate, we apply it to the page promptly. For significant factual corrections, we note the correction date in the affected page.

We do not remove content that is factually accurate simply because it is unflattering or commercially inconvenient. We do correct genuine factual errors promptly regardless of which page they appear on.

Responsible Person

Akhil Sharma, Marketing Head, oversees MPB’s content operations. For editorial queries, corrections, or press enquiries, contact marketing@myengineeringbuddy.com.

For technical physics corrections requiring subject expertise review, email care@myphysicsbuddy.com with subject “Physics Correction — [Topic]”.

Guest Contributions

MPB accepts guest contributions to its blog from physics educators, researchers, and subject matter experts. Guest posts must meet the same accuracy, originality, and attribution standards as our in-house content. Guest contributors are identified by name with their relevant credentials. We do not accept paid guest posts that promote third-party commercial services without clear labelling. To enquire about contributing, email marketing@myengineeringbuddy.com with “Guest Post Enquiry” in the subject line.
